Ganesh (or Ganesha), the elephant-headed Hindu deity, is revered as the Lord of Beginnings, Remover of Obstacles, and god of wisdom, success, and prosperity. As the son of Shiva and Parvati, he is among the most worshipped deities, invoked at the start of any new venture or journey.
Key Aspects of Ganesha:
Symbolism: His elephant head symbolizes immense wisdom and intellectual strength, while his large belly represents the ability to peacefully digest all of life's experiences.
Removal of Obstacles: Known as Vighneshvara, he is worshipped to remove physical and spiritual obstacles.
Iconography: He is depicted with one broken tusk (signifying overcoming duality), four arms (representing his omnipresence), and riding a mouse (symbolizing the control of desire).
