For optimal results with tattoo thermal printers, use high-quality stencil paper (like Spirit), ensure the carbon layer faces the printhead, and adjust image brightness for clear outlines rather than heavy shading. Keep the device charged to prevent faint prints and clean the rollers regularly with alcohol to avoid jams and smudges.
Setup and Printing Tips
Paper Orientation: Remove the yellow protective sheet, and ensure the carbon/transfer paper is oriented with the white side facing up (or as directed by the specific model).
Prep the Image: Convert designs to high-contrast black and white outlines. Thermal printers struggle with complex shading or gradients.
Use Proper Settings: Use "Deepness 1" for sharper lines; "Deepness 2" can sometimes cause bleeding or overheating.
Check Alignment: Carefully guide the paper to avoid skewing, which results in distorted stencils.
