The Vril Society is a 20th-century fictitious, pseudohistorical, and conspiratorial secret society alleged to have operated in Germany, often linked to Nazi occultism. It is central to legends about Nazi UFOs ("Reichsflugscheiben") and superior technology derived from a "Vril" energy source, though no historical evidence exists for the group's actual existence.

Key Aspects of the Vril Society:

Origins: The concept originates from Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s 1871 novel, The Coming Race, which describes a subterranean master race using a psychic energy called "Vril".

Occult and Nazi Connections: Conspiracy theories, often stemming from works like The Morning of the Magicians, allege the group was a precursor to or inner circle of the Nazi party, founded in Berlin around 1921 to harness this energy.

Technological Legends: The society is accused of aiding the Nazis in developing advanced, supernatural flying machines.

Theosophical Influence: Early 20th-century occultists like Helena Blavatsky and Rudolf Steiner reportedly regarded the "Vril" concept as based on occult truths.
